I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day. Even when I was in a relationship. The idea of "forced affection" seems to be asking for disaster. It's insincere. If you are in a healthy relationship, you don't need to be reminded to celebrate your love, and be romantic on ONE DAY--isn't that what comes naturally?
The stress and pressure society puts on us for "V Day" is ludicrous.
I laughed as I saw men in the pouring rain, tight-lipped and frustrated. buying sad, soaked bouquets at the corner market. Poor dears!
It made me appreciate my life that much more...
