Who or what are your major influences?

Film score composers--noir and classic cinema- (Like Bernard Herrmann's work with Alfred Hitchcock--and storytellers like Ray Bradbury and Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone). These men had a profound effect on me. I was captivated by the glorious mystery, suspense, intrigue. Not to mention the dreamlike, sensual look to the films, dangerous romance, unsettling camera angles, surreal lighting.
As a child, I just wanted to live in those worlds. They seemed perfect to me. They still do!

My goal has always been to transport myself and conjure a portal into another place, an "elegant netherworld", and allow the audience to come with me.

As far as rock bands--Most definitely Pink Floyd. They captured that cinematic mood, that mournful, beautiful devastation that transported you completely.
Also The Cure, David Bowie, David Sylvian/Japan, Jon Hassell, Mark Hollis (later period Talk Talk), The Pretenders, T. Rex, Led Zeppelin, early Aerosmith, early Peter Gabriel, etc.
