I am a Tori Amos fan and I cannot understand why women are always compared to one another. Strange. You are in a class of your own. You share the gift of being a brilliant performance musician /intelligent songwriter that I wish I'd heard of sooner. I look forward to listening to your music while I paint or sleep (when I can). Its so exciting to discover something wonderful in Music.
So, here is a common question, where did you learn to play the piano and do you have a preferred brand you like to play? Will you ever release some of your past albums/Cds that are out of print. The World needs to know about your music.
I appreciate your beautiful words, glad you found me! And please help to spread the word— as an indie musician, YOU are my PR team!
My entire discography is here: http://jilltracy.bandcamp.com/
I love the action on Steinway and Yamaha pianos. At home, I have a Yamaha vertical grand (his name is Ulysses!) I can always count on him to be there waiting patiently.
On stage, I use the Roland RD series— 88 weighted keys, the action and control are perfect for my music.
Not likely I will manufacture out of print CDs. There is no market for it anymore. I may do a limited collectors edition of various selections at some point. For now, they are all available in digital form, and any funding will be used to release new music and related projects. Occasionally if I stumble upon rare copies, I will make them available autographed on my website store.
Make sure you have signed up for my email newsletter here. xox
Hello Jill!! :) I JUST discovered your hauntingly beautiful music and I am a fellow pianist (lessons for 12years) haha and I'm a singer and I LOVE your style of music it's exactly the kind of music I want to create myself. I was wondering how did you first start composing your OWN music what is that process like for you? I've never tried writing my own music before. Thank you SO MUCH for constantly inspiring me with your BEAUTIFUL music and your beautiful soul. All my love, Andrew xoxoxoxoJILL TRACY responded on 05/05/2014 Next question
Howdy, I LOVE indie music/musicians - they keep it real no matter the style they play. I'm always We are always willing to help out a couple of our local bands here. Check them out as "Girl in a Coma" on YouTube they spilt for awhile. Nina Diaz solo -I have to give her a copy of your CD this music is right up her alley. and the other band members, punk band FEA ("ugly" in spanish). Recently Toni Child "gave birth" to her project- took two years to get it done fully funded by fans. She taught me patience, faith and that the creative process is long and painful. It cannot be rushed...It is beautiful music. So, yes, I will buy Jill Tracy music CDs when I can and past them on. Your music is too beautiful not to be known . Finally comment, If you are on a budget would you buy acoustic or electric piano. I love acoustic but they require financial TLC. Thanks for your existence...Peace Black Feather.JILL TRACY responded on 05/06/2014
